Leavenworth

My sister Bonnie and her family (husband, Ben and baby Paije) were in town from Washington DC for the week. Bonnie really wanted to do something fun as a family. So my mom pulled some strings and we were able to stay at a friends house for the weekend. The house was so cool-it was actually an old church that they converted into a house that sleep 14! It was nice to go somewhere and all be able to stay together, but have some space. The house is only across the street from downtown, so the shopping was easily accessible:) We totally lucked out with incredible weather--it was beautiful.

Leavenworth is no place to try and eat healthy! Way too many delicious options. This taffy shop had the cutest display up for Easter and fresh taffy in every flavor. We went the cheap route and enjoyed the free samples:) The next shop proved to be even more tempting then taffy--chocolate. Handmade chocolates I couldn't say no too. John and I split the peanut butter cup and Karrie and Bonnie enjoyed that and the Hazelnut Hedgehog. We really enjoyed the chocolates while playing checkers in this fun cafe. Not to make Bonnie feel bad, but John totally beat her playing checkers--he was pretty excited about that (Mr. Competitive).

While I really enjoyed the chocolate, John couldn't get enough of the brauts! Sauteed onions and sauerkraut on top made for one happy husband!

We drove out to Cashmere to this little bakery my uncle loves. We picked him up some macaroons and Tate found the "digger." He could have played on that thing all day long. After a little while, we coaxed him off with promises of going to the park to swing.

Tate took some convincing to come down this slide.

And Blake slept. I need my sisters to send me the pictures they took so I have the rest of the weekend pictures. We had a great time playing games, enjoying the town and enjoying just being together!
