Summer trip to Seattle

Our "big" summer vacation/trip this year was headed back to Seattle to visit the family.
The boys were excited to meet their new cousin, Luke.
We planned to be tourists and enjoy some family time!
Grandma and Grandpa were actually on a little trip to Vegas and then to Utah when we were in town.
We were sad we only got to see them for a couple days before we had to head home, but Grandpa made up for it by taking the boys fishing!
It was a bit harder not going fishing in a "pre-stocked" lake.
Lots of patience required.
The boys got a few bites, but no catches.
Even with no fish, the boys had a great time!
Grandma asked the boys to check on the garden while they were gone.
They were more then happy to pick some snacks--cherries, raspberries and some peas.
We went to the zoo.
The boys (Tate), was happy to spend his money at the Zoo Shop before we saw any animals.
The boys all picked out snack snap bracelets.
They kept them pretty entertained while we walked around.
We saw elephants, penguins, giraffes, and wrestling bears.  The bears were so great!
The boys got to pet some goats and ride the tractor.
A good day at the zoo.

We went for a walk and "lazy legs" set in.
Ryan and Blake opted for laps instead of just taking turns in the stroller.
We were so excited to meet up with Gage and Kenadee at our favorite bakery in Blake Diamond.
We enjoyed a cookie and then played on the train.
There is never enough time to spend with a friend....but, we were just happy to get to see them if only for a little while.
We were so excited that Aunt Karrie and cousin Luke were willing to hang out with us this week.
Luke came to the zoo and aquarium with us.
Tate loved pushing him in the stroller and showing him all the fish and animals.
Uncle John tried to be the favorite Uncle by sharing his icecream with Luke.
Luke seemed happy enough to have three crazy cousins to watch in a huge tent, in the living room.
Grandma is the best for letting us test out this tent and use it for the summer.
The boys had a campout each night and loved it!
We ventured to Seattle to check out the aquarium.
John and I both are grateful we don't have to deal with "Seattle traffic" anymore!
Checking out the sharks!
Favorite part...getting to touch some of the starfish and sea animals.
Mr. Luke enjoyed the show from his stroller...sleeping most of the time.
It was a fun week together.
We were so happy to see our friends, spend time with family, and kick off the summer in Seattle!
