This year we set out to make new traditions.
We've been going to the Bothell parade since the boys were little, so we knew a parade had to be a part of our new tradition. Lucky for us, Liberty Lake has their own little parade.
It is by the lake.
Thirty minutes long.
No need to get chairs set-out days in advance.
We got a great spot right before it started.
A parade is a success if you get lots of candy!
The boys were quick to scoop up on what was being thrown anywhere close to them.
It was a hot day as usual.
Some people had a great idea--passing out otter pops instead of candy!
Standing for the Flag.
Lots of golf carts decorated!
It seems like everyone has a golf cart around here....the boys definitely think we need one too.
Yay! Lots of candy.
The parade was pretty much the highlight of the day.
Fireworks are a no-no here.
John couldn't even find a stand to do some little fireworks with the boys.
They do a big fireworks show at the lake and you can watch it at the park.
Since it doesn't get dark until 9:30pm, we decided we'll check that out in the years to come.
For now, I'll enjoy my boys in bed by 7pm!
