More August Fun

Nothing like spending the evening at the park waiting for The Wizard of Oz to start.
The boys packed all their blankets, pillows and stuffed animals to enjoy the movie in comfort.
Ryan got to stay home with John who was tired out from painting the house all day.
I was so excited to get to have a date with my boys.
They enjoyed their movie treats while waiting for the movie to start.
Tate and Blake even got up and put on a great dance while the music was going.
These boys can bust a move.
Not sure where they get their moves from, but it certainly isn't from me.
The treats were a really good deal:)
The movie ended up being switched to Swiss Family Robinson which I had never seen.
Blake was more interested in playing games on my phone.
Tate got scared and wanted to go home.
Even though we didn't stay the entire time, it was still lots of fun!
Earlier that Saturday we walked down to the Farmer's Market.
It was during the Pie Festival.
Tate and I did our best at winning a pie during the "pie walk."
They called the number in between Tate and me.
Darn-it.
No pie for us.
The boys enjoyed some popcorn and water instead.
We almost made the entire walk home, but it was too close to naptime for Ryan and Blake and they just weren't going to go another step further.
Luckily, we weren't far from home and John (with the van), came to our rescue.
On accident we found part of the Centennial Trail that runs all along the Spokane River.
We were looking for a park...couldn't find the park, but went for a hike and found some amazing views of the river!
The boys even cooperated for some pictures.
On our way out we found this really cool snake skin.
The boys were sold on hiking and ask often to go on more hikes.
So we've been back exploring other parts of the trail.
And we found the park we were looking for the next time!
Discovery park has lots of fun toys and swings that the boys loved.
