Fun in Liberty Lake

When people find out we just moved here they always welcome us to the area (there are seriously the nicest people here), and ask how we like it.
Even though it has been hard to be away from our family and friends, I can't complain about the area.
Here are some of the highlights from this past month.
AUGUST
We met a great family at church who also just moved to the area.
They live a few streets over from us and their daughter is in Tate's primary class.
These boys managed to have a fun playdate....even if it was with a girl.
We've checked out a number of parks in the area.
Ryan is turning into a monkey.
He loves to hang on bars and then swings.
We went to the Spokane temple with the Primary.
The boys did a temple scavenger hunt looking for different parts of the temple.
Then the temple matron talked to them about the temple and each of the kids got a picture of the temple and she took them to part of the temple they could touch.
The kids were so reverent as they walked in a line with their hand on the temple walls.
It was a memorable Primary activity.
We had fun at Liberty Lake Days.
Set up at Pavilion Park, there were games for the kids, local vendors, a shaved ice truck, and yummy treats.  The boys were happy to get little prizes at each of the booth games they did.
The boys have gone through record numbers of popsicles...

and icecream cones.
It's a good thing it gets so hot here, because the splish-splash park has really cold water.
We've had many, many water fights in the backyard.
Those water fights usually end up with naked boys running around the backyard.
Ryan picked-up how to use the squirt guns quickly.
But, two against one usually always ends in Ryan losing.
We've also been out to the county park which has a playground and also beach access.
Maybe our next house will have a view of this beautiful lake!
The bees ended our beach visit early...Ryan was the victim of the bees.
We still had fun playing in the water though.
We like it here.
I think we'll stay for a while.

Ryan's crying face is classic! Poor guy.
