It has been a rough "sick season" at our house.
Usually, we are good.
No major sickness here.
We must be making up for lost time this year.
It has just been one thing after another.
Last weekend John woke up in immense pain, couldn't breath or move.
Scary.
I was up at my moms with the boys, so our awesome home teacher came to the rescue and rushed John to the ER.
Turns out, John has a chest infection.
He came home with lots of pain pills and there was a lot of this for the next few days.
Happy to report, John is doing better now and can lay down in bed now.
For a few nights it hurt him too badly to lay in bed, so we made him a make-shift upright bed on the couch downstairs.
One of the things I really wanted to do this Christmas season was take the boys out to see all the Christmas lights. They love spotting the lights when we are driving around.
Tate and Blake make a game of it.
You get a point if you are the first one to spot the Christmas lights.
The boys each got a Christmas cookie and we loaded up and headed out to check out the lights.
I made the boys a couple felt trees with ornaments so they can decorate and undecorate these trees.
The hope was they would stay out of the real decorations--Ryan hasn't caught on to that yet.
Ryan loves undecorating the most and the ornaments usually are found on the ground.
Since John hasn't been up to a lot of physical activity, the boys and I took over and got out some Christmas lights. With all my little helpers not many lights have gotten up yet.
Tate was the master engineer of where the lights needed to go and how to connect them all together.
John had some time off of work that he needed to use up or he would lose them at the end of the year.
I was happy to plan a little over-nighter for us.
We found a Groupon for the Salish Lodge up in Snoqualmie and just had a wonderful time!
A big thanks to grandma for holding down the fort at home.
The boys were so excited grandma was coming over and having a sleepover.
We found a cute gift shop with some very fun items!
John makes a pretty good bear:)
Ryan still thinks it is fun to sneak over to the tree and try to get the ornaments.
