I was so excited when John told me he had some extra vacation days he needed to use or he was going to lose. We couldn't let that happen.
We decided a science date with dad was in order.
At the Pacific Science Center of course.
I've been wanting to take the boys.
Just not without some additional backup extra hands in case boys went crazy.
We made it in time for the Preschool Trip to the Moon at the Planetarium.
It was a 20 minute, somewhat interactive, look at the sky and the moon.
I took noisy Ryan out half way through while the big boys hung in there for the rest of the time.
We headed over to the "Tot Play Area" where they have all kinds of fun things to do and experiment with.
Like cool drums that Blake was very into.
Water squirters that would make dangly circles and others move if got the water to hit them.
A helicopter ride that was affordable:)
It is hard to tell with a sideways picture, but this is a steering wheel that made a huge propeller move.
Very cool.
We moved on to the really big (like all the scientific vocabulary I'm using?) toy area.
Life-size chess, a robotic grasshopper that was talking to us and a cool puzzle area.
We explored the dinos before we left and figured Ryan would have gotten squashed if dinosaurs still roamed the earth.
Blake was thinking all those dinosaurs were looking pretty real and making loud noises, and moving like they were going to get him.
So, he thought it best just to hold onto my leg while we went through that exhibit.

Ryan and John seemed more intrigued.
While Tate wanted to move them himself with this dino-robot.
It was a beautiful day for a little lunch break outside.
We watched the water fountains and Tate and Blake stood really close to the edge of the water and made the mom worry she was going to have to go for a swim when one of those boys leaned over too far trying to see what's in the water.
Geesh.
Mr. Cotton Candy Selling Man was right outside the exit (of course), so we grabbed a bag (mainly because John really wanted some:) and had a little treat before we called it naptime for Blake and Ryan.
And a big thanks to Auntie Karrie for making the trip possible:)
