Happy Easter

This is part 1 of our Easter fun this year.
It started Saturday morning.
The boys woke up to bunny tracks leading them in the direction of Easter baskets.
Tate was quick to find Blake's basket and I had to convince him quickly to put it back so Blake could find it.
Because of that, I didn't have the camera ready to go and missed Blake actually finding his basket.
Not to worry there are plenty of pictures to come to make up for it.
Tate was pretty sure he had figured out wear the Easter Bunny hid his basket.
That sneaky Bunny hid it in the toy box . . .
Ryan found his with a little help from Dad . . .
and the Easter Bunny surprised the Dad by hiding a basket for him too!
The Easter Bunny knew the kiddos would be getting lots of candy throughout the day from other egg hunts, so their baskets had a few eggs with some candy in it and some other fun things for the boys to play with like crayons, sunglasses, a new movie, flip flops, pinwheel (Blake has been hording those), and new toothbrushes and their own toothpaste (I know exciting!).  I was glad we opted to do Easter baskets on Saturday--Saturday turned into our celebration day and it seemed to work out best doing them then instead of Sunday.
After a breakfast of candy from the eggs and a Squeeze-It also found in their baskets, we Skyped with Aunt Bonnie, cousin Paije and baby Piper.
Thank goodness Auntie Karrie had spent the night so she could hook us up Skyping.
After visiting with Bonnie and giving computer kisses to baby Piper, we headed to the Boat Launch close to our house for a community Easter Egg Hunt.  If you would have seen Blake, you would have thought we were torturing him!  I think it was the fact that there were all these eggs just within his reach, but he couldn't touch them, that set him off.  I tried to settle him down, but it was no use.  He just cried and cried until they sounded the horn that the little kids could go get the eggs.
There's Blake trying to reach those eggs again!
Tate was super patient and waited his turn to hunt for the eggs.
Ryan just hung out enjoying the nice weather.
Finally the time had come and Blake could be put out of his misery.
He scooped up on some eggs and was a happy boy again!
Candy will put a smile on this boys face every time.
Tate's turn was next and he also found a fair number of eggs.
He found I think four eggs that had a paper in them that said he could choose a prize from the prize tables.
He was so excited to choose bubbles, glow bracelets, a puzzle, and something else I can't remember.

After the boys opened all the eggs and had a few pieces of candy, we carried crying Blake again back to the van.  It was such a wonderful morning (even with Blake upset for most of it)--sunshine was a total bonus!
We headed home to get ready for part 2 of our Easter Saturday.
Our third annual BBQ with friends and Egg Hunt.
