we pack up and head over to the park! It doesn't usually happen that often these days-having a sunny day that is. So, when we woke up Saturday morning and the sun was shinning, we thought it would be a great day to go to a park outside of our neighborhood. Tate loves being outside and he had such a fun time going down the slides then racing back up and down again. The kid is fearless!
The swings were funny. There was a little girl on the swing next time him and her dad was also pushing her. But, he was pushing her really high. I guess that's what dad's are for-pushing the limits. I never push Tate that high on the swings. Anyways, Tate kept watching her and seeing how high she was going and so he thought he needed to go higher and higher! The competitive nature is starting early. This was John holding the swing back so he could let it go and give Tate a big push.
Tate's new favorite song is "Row, Row, Row your Boat." He went crazy when he saw this big boat toy. That's him on the slide. Back and forth: climbing up to the slide and then down again.
It's not enough that Tate already climbs on everything (stools, chairs on the counters), John is determined to teach Tate to become a professional climber. Tate did a good job maneuvering through this rope ladder to get to the top of the boat.
We walked over to the water and Tate was tempting the geese to bit his fingers by trying to pet them.
We found a really cool tree stump to climb on . . .
and Blake slept.

Were you getting ideas for your backyard swing set? (And, he gets that fearless thing on the slide from YOU!) We used to take you to Matthews Beach and let the three of you slide on the tallest slide in town!
You have a beautiful family!
