This week we said goodbye to John as he headed out with the Scouts for a week-long High Adventure trip. A week of canoeing (50 miles) and camping. Tate was having a lot of fun helping John get packed. John's not much of a camper, so I'm hoping he'll have a great time this week and consider camping as an okay thing to do for a family vacation. Tate was so cute playing in the sleeping bag on the deck.
We are counting down the days until the dad returns. Being a parent can be hard enough with two parents. I don't know how single parents do it?! Anyone that does this on their own is simply amazing in my opinion. This week has been a long enough test for me--3 more days to go!

It is SO hard when Rob leaves. Just put on your "game face" and have fun. Don't pay attention to a schedule, just do what you guys want when you want. And Wendy's for dinner is allowed.
