The rest of the story

This was home-sweet-home for our first night. Us Pelton's know how to find a good deal. This lovely Budget Inn was well worth our $50. I mean you can't get that kind of wall paneling or bed linens at just any old hotel! I just couldn't justify spending that much more when we weren't even go to be there long enough to enjoy the "deluxe continental breakfast." All night, John kept looking outside the window sure someone was going to steal our car. Where does he think we are?!
We survived the night and made it to Utah the next day. Here are some random pics from the week with the family and cousins.Tate was eyeing those shakes as soon as they were put on the table. Bonnie and Ben introduced us to this place "Granny's" the last we were in town. The BEST shakes ever! This is Tate's new best buddy-cousin Andy. We're glad Andy lives close by, because Tate sure loved playing with him!Our temple square day. I was able to do a session in the morning before catching up with the family-it was awesome as always. Later, we saw the Joseph Smith movie, ate at the Garden Room, and did some shopping. A fun day.

We finally go some use out of the very cute swim trunks we got. This was Tate's first swimming pool experience. Remember, we live in Seattle, not so many pools around.
The water was pretty cool so Tate and mom only lasted about 10 minutes before calling it good. Uncle Mike and cousin Brynn in the background, were having a great time! We made it back to BYU for a quick visit. John shed a tear when we walked up the pathway and he noticed they have torn down the social work building. What a sad day. The dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point was another fun trip. John was having a really fun time imitating all the dinos. Tate laid an egg! Good thing Tate is a good swimmer and got away from this guy!

A baby dino and baby Tate. Tate didn't really like baby dino.

At this station you can create your own dino. All the parts are Velcro. Pretty fun! John of course, felt the need to ride the dino!

On our way out. Tate had had just about enough dino's for one day. We went to see the 3-D movie there when everyone was finished, but Tate only made it about 3 minutes into the movie before him and I spent the remaining 40 minutes walking around the lobby (boring!).Our last adventure was getting to ride the "Heber Creeper." Tate and Grandpa had so much fun hanging out while we waited to board. Tate wondering why cousin Kaiser got so much hair and he's 2 months younger?Getting ready to board a train for the first time. We sat in the car that was outside. It was a great night for a train ride. Tate was sure happy to spend time with Grandma Krohn. It was a beautiful ride the entire way. We even got to stop and have a great BBQ dinner and listen to some live country singers. It was the perfect way to end such a great week together with family.

Hey, thanks for stopping by to see us in Orem while you were in town. Oh wait, you didn't. I wouldn't have either. Looks like you had fun.
