Blessing Day

Before the blessing could happen we had to decide on an outfit for him to wear. The first outfit, worn by Tate's cousin at his blessing, was a bit on the small side. We did think the boots great-grandma made for him were a nice touch though. The second outfit John picked out and really liked it. Aunt Lauren informed us it might be a little too casual for church?! We were running out of outfits and had to dig into the 6 months clothes. I think Tate does look nice in a bright yellow, but he really was swimming in it! After all these outfit changes and one unhappy baby for having to model each outfit we decided on the outfit below.

I think he looked very hansome! It was so great to have some of our family there. It made it an even more special day to have them all there (we wish everyone could have come, but realize that is just not possible). After church, it was great to hang out with the family and have a BBQ. John has become a master BBQ-er (the house only filled up with smoke once?!)

By the end of the day, Tate was pretty much passed-out from all the excitment.
