October Party Madness

I volunteered to be Tate's "Room/Party" Mom.
First party up was Halloween.
I love planning parties!
His teacher is very organized and said stations works best for these kiddos.
A craft, two games, and a snack.
Easy enough.
The snack included: mummy juice, pumpkin poo, Count's teeth and a string cheese.
The kids seemed to like the snack.
They made monster hand puppets....
Halloween Bingo....
Spooky bowling and a bean bag toss.
I didn't get pictures of this one, but I must say, the monster bowling pins turned out super cute.
We ended with a "prize walk" before the kids packed up and headed home.
The class is very well behaved and we had a good time!
We were so lucky to have Auntie Karrie and Grandma and Grandpa come over for Ryan's birthday and Halloween.
Karrie was nice enough to be willing to go to Blake's party and help out there.
They played games...
had yummy snacks....
did some pumpkin bowling....
and really enjoyed the snacks!

It was fun to be able to celebrate Halloween and have the kids get dressed up for school.
When the boys got home from school we geared up for Round 2:
Trick-or-Treating.
Its become a Halloween tradition for us-Papa Murphy's Jack-O-Lantern Pizza for dinner.
Delicious!
It was the normal round up getting all the boys fed, costumes on, treat bags, etc. etc.
Finally, we were all ready to go.
Grandma and Grandpa were kind enough to hang out and pass out candy while John, me, and Auntie Karrie took the boys out.
We started about 5:30pm.
I'm glad we started then because it got cold and dark in a hurry.
Blake's witch hat and Ryan's ears kept coming off.
Blake's hat was lost in the running from house to house.

And then it was not fun anymore.
Tired legs.
Heavy candy bags.
The boys were ready to go home.
Tate wasn't really up for sorting the candy.
They had some candy, shared some with the adults and then got into our bed to watch a Halloween Scooby-Doo.
Ryan on the other hand was still wide awake.
He LOVED getting the door for the trick or treater's that were still coming.
My dad could see out the door and would tell Ryan someone was here and he would go running to the door.
It was cute.
It was a long day.
Good thing we had lots of chocolate to help those tired legs!
