Mr. Blake

About a month ago on a Sunday this was Blake.
Sad.
Sad.
Sad.
Pacing the entryway, back and forth.
He kept saying his stomach hurt.
We tried food.
Wouldn't eat anything.
Drink.  Nope.
Bathroom.  Nope.

Just a lot of this all day long.
It really is very unsettling and unnerving to not know what is wrong with your little boy and not be able to help him.
It went on all day long and I finally thought enough is enough.
We've got to make sure everything is okay.
Off to urgent care we went.
After not much of a wait a very nice nurse and then doctor came to my rescue.
It was entertaining for me to watch the doctor try to get a three-year-old to describe and point to where it hurt.
Blake was pretty much saying whatever the doctor wanted.
I was happy to find out it wasn't anything too serious like appendicitis and no strep throat.
The boys got treated like kings-stickers, popsicles, and peeing in a cup (Blake thought that was the BEST thing ever!).
We left without a cure, but I found it later that night.
About 1am when Blake came into my bed (John was out of town), stomach hurting again.
After throwing up a couple times...he seemed to be feeling better.

On a lighter note here are some things about Blake that we love:
  • Loves playing with friends...especially Tate's buddies.
  • Is getting better at sharing and taking turns.
  • Is a lefty.  Just like Grandpa.
  • Likes his hair "spiky" and wants to do the hairspray.
  • Prefers to walk anywhere rather then driving.
  • Is all boy.  Likes to wrestle, play catch, picks up bugs to examine them, is loud, runs everywhere.
  • Is Tate's shadow and copycat.  Loves his big brother!
  • Still a picky eater.
  • Loves to color and give me his pictures.
  • Picks me flowers whenever we see them on our way to the park.
  • Totally motivated by treats.
  • Gets growing pains.  Wakes up at night because his legs hurt.  Maybe he will be the tallest brother with all the sore legs.
  • Potty-trained.  Renewed my faith in the process and I might actually still have the 'umph to get Ryan potty-trained too.
  • Has the sweetest face.  Seriously, the best smile around.

Most have gotten his "treat motivation" from the Pelton side of the family.
