It was really a lot of fun putting together Ryan's party.
It just happend to be a really busy week with grandparents in town and entertaining and then trunk-or-treat and then his party the next day (Oct. 28th), that made putting it all together had to happen at night and all day Sunday. It was a little or a lot crazy getting it all together.
But it was worth it!
You only turn one once and I want my kids to know that birthday's are special.
That this is your special day and you deserve a party to celebrate with family and some friends.
Planning parties give me a project and I like having something to work on.
I let Safeway make the little cake this year:) while I worked on the other parts of the party.
This was my favorite part.
My friend Paige gave me the "month" onsie stickers (thank-you again) and it was so fun to print his monthly pictures off, put them together, and see much Ryan has changed this past year!
We were so happy to have both family and friends that could share in Ryan's special day.
I messed-up the meatballs, but other then that I think the food and treats were pretty good.
Good thing it was a pretty easy audience to please:)
Ryan managed to get himself a birthday bonk on the eye just about an hour before the party.
Him and John were on the deck and Ryan tried getting down the two stairs, but fell down them instead. He didn't let that get him down for his party though.
Big brothers were quick to swoop in and help Ryan with the cake.
Delicious!
It seems like such a waste of a perfectly good cake.
Yay, we made it one year!
To finish the party the big-kids headed to the garage for a pumpkin pinata.
It took some good wacks before that candy came out.
We said goodbye to our friends and let Ryan open his presents.
He was spoiled with fun new toys that light up and make noises.
Nakedness ready for a bath after a fun night.
Grandma showing him how easy it is to walk!
He's still practicing and getting close to doing it on his own.
Ryan is the sweetest little boy.
We are lucky to have him be a part of our family!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
