Goats

I'm learning that it's all about who you know that matters.  Lucky for us, we know and love mommy Paige and she has a friend with goats (and chickens), right in her front yard!  Even better yet, this friend only lives around five minutes away in Black Diamond.  We packed up the boys and headed over with banana peels and pears cut up to feed those hungry goats.
I wasn't sure what Blake would think about the goats, but he had no fear.  He grabbed right onto the fence and let the goats lick his little fingers.  He loved it!
Tate was feeding them the banana peels while Spencer fed them the pears (who knew that's what goats liked?).  I tried to get Blake to feed them some too, but he couldn't really figure out holding the banana peel long enough for the goat to get it.
When Blake was done with the goats, he crawled on over (yes, still crawling) to a barrel planter box with some delicious looking dirt in it.  Blake's favorite past time these days is playing in the sand or dirt.  He doesn't seem to care which one.  Although, he hasn't tried eating sand, just the dirt.

I love that face!  Even when it is covered in dirt.
Feeding the goats the last of the banana peels.  Those goats could reach their heads through that fence really far . . . they almost grabbed the bag Tate was holding a couple times.

It was so much fun!
A quick visit.
Not a long drive.
No crowds.
Happy mommies and boys!
We were having such a great time we decided to continue on down the road and stop at the bakery for a cookie.  Both Spencer and Tate picked the happy face cookie.  Blake also enjoyed a cookie.  But a smaller one with sprinkles:)
We were even more lucky to find the old caboose (parked up the walkway) open and the boys each got a turn driving the train and pulling the whistle.

Can't get much better then feeding goats, getting a cookie, and driving the train!
