It has been a really long rainy/cold season here in Seattle. I am seriuosly jealous of my extended family that lives in wonderfully warm places. It makes me think seriously about relocating for warmer days or going on long vacations and hitting up the family to put us up. If not for my own happiness, but for my poor children who get to spend way too much time inside because of the darn rain. I guess that's what I get for living here. We sure can appreciate the sun when it does come out though.
Blake didn't mind the grass on his little toes and crawled around the back yard getting in and out of the sandbox and chasing the big green ball.
Then he discovered the waterfall and got so frustrated that he couldn't climb up that wall and get into the water. He is turning into a waterboy! We were at my mom's last week on another wonderfully warm day and she has this little swimming pool (big enough for Blake) and he climbed right in and got mad when I made him get out.
Tate always loves being outside and has become grandma's and dad's little helper. While I was subbing up in Kirkland the past couple weeks, Tate has been grandma's date and helped kill slugs, pull weeds, get the raspberries ready and plant some tomatoes and peas. We even got to bring home some of the pea starts for our garden. I think grandma is really happy to have one willing helper in the garden (her kids were never so into that:))
Yes Blake that's grass that is not swampy and soggy that you can finally explore it!
This particular day the project was power washing the deck. The day before it was the driveway. A big thanks to my mom and dad for letting us borrow it. Tate and Blake were helping dad get the deck ready to be cleaned. It looks so great now. If only we could keep the sun around long enough to enjoy it.Mr. Sunshine, please come back soon so we can have more fun outside and not keep driving my mom crazy being inside all the time!

Yay for the sunshine! We like it here, but we contemplate relocating as well because of the weather. It's tough with kids. Hopefully the summer will treat us all a little better. :)
Hey-don't complain about the weather! We have had an extremely wet spring and cold in the mountains-still snowing off and on! At least if you grow up in Seattle, you just shrug off the rain and go ahead and play soccer, etc. The sun will come out...tomorrow!
Why won't Blake just WALK!!!
