Rolling Over

Tonight Tate was working on his rolling over skills. The skills haven't matured enough to actually rolling over, but it sure is fun to watch him try! So, he starts on the tummy. This time he didn't even start crying right away. He loves kicking his feet and has managed to scoot himself halfway off the blanket in his first attempt. You'll notice he has his eyes focused and locked in on his goal!
Look at those strong legs! This is the first time he actually was getting all the body parts coordinated and working together. You can't see the other arm, but he was straightening it out and keeping it by his side.
Now, he starts getting frustrated. I'm sure one of these days in his frustration, he'll actually get himself all-the-way over instead of just half-way. The look of exhaustion! That leg is pretty darn strong though. It kept pushing and pushing his bottom up, but that's as far as it got tonight! He's just got to manage getting his head up and turned over too and then I think he'll finally get it.

Yay for Tate! He looks like he could be one of ours. Must be the bald Pelton look.

I think sometimes he does look like Ian. The bald thing definitely runs in the family. It's funny how on different days, babies can look so different!

I don't know how he keeps from turning over! Maybe you should try dog treats...it works for Ella :)

We know you can do it Tate! Great job and keep up the good work.

Tip: Try rolling before meal time as you will be lighter and less likely to spit-up on Dad!
